What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, experience producing accounts up to trial balance level, Proven ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights, Solid understanding of GST, BAS, and Australian compliance requirements, working knowledge of MYOB and/or Xero, Excel capability (ability to build and interrogate reports), Comfortable working across both financial and operational data
What You'll Do.
Maintain full and accurate bookkeeping records up to trial balance
Perform all account reconciliations and ensure data integrity
Manage day-to-day finance operations including invoicing
Process payroll and prepare GSTAS for review and lodgement
Ensure accurate and timely use of accounting systems (MYOB transitioning to Xero)
Prepare monthly internal management accounts and reporting packs
concise reporting that highlights performance
Monitor results against budgets
and key operational drivers
Identify anomalies and explain movements in financial performance
Provide active working capital management on a day to day basis
Analyse both financial and non-financial data (e. g. sales
Provide proactive insights into business performance
