Must Have
High School diploma or equivalent, Graduate of Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registered, Current and valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer, CPR certification
Nice to Have
Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience, ARRT certification in primary modality within 12 months of hire
What You'll Do.
Obtain and examine Mammography scan orders
Ensure orders are appropriate
Identify patient service requirements
Obtain necessary consents and education
Perform specialized tasks operating Mammography scanners
Integrate diagnostic results and patient history
Adapt exam as necessary
Adhere to Mammography protocols
Perform Mammography scans as ordered
Assist positioning patients
Maintain proper aseptic technique
Assist radiologist with imaging procedures
Assist radiologist with interventional procedures
Load and operate power injectors
Evaluate Mammography scans for technical quality
Collate processed images
Film/transmit to PACS
Charge procedures and supplies
Maintain accurate patient records
Gain patient cooperation
Provide explanations and answer questions
Apply age-specific care needs
Perform basic nursing functions
Assume care for patient needs during scanning
Initiate life support measures
Keep work area clean and sanitary
Stock exam/dressing rooms
Report unusual findings
Assist with clerical functions
Provide assistance with orientation and training
Provide education and training to students
Abide by hospital/department HR policies
Adhere to regulatory body guidelines
Assist with day-to-day operations
