High school diploma or equivalent, Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program, Valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer, ARRT registered with ARRT certification in Mammography, CPR and BLS certification, Five (5) years of relevant experience

What You'll Do.
Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow
Perform diagnostic imaging studies
Assist with education and training of new physicians
Assist radiologists and PhD's in developing new protocols
Participate in research initiatives
Serve as a unit lead technologist
Monitor charging of procedures and supplies
Demonstrate equipment for 'site visits'
Provide in-service classes
Aid with orientation and training of new technologists
Obtain and examine the order for a Mammography
Ensure orders are appropriate
Notify supervisor of discrepancies
Contact physician’s office for correct orders
Identify patient service requirements
Establish personal rapport with patients
Obtain necessary consents and education
Perform complex specialized tasks
Adapt exam as necessary
Adhere to Mammography protocols
Demonstrate complete competence in performing Mammography scans
Assist positioning patients
Maintain proper aseptic technique
Assist radiologist with imaging procedures
Assist radiologist with interventional Mammography procedures
Evaluate Mammography scans for technical quality
Collate processed images
Film/transmit to PACS
Charge procedures and supplies
Load and operate power injectors
Maintain accurate patient records
Gain patient cooperation
Apply age-specific care needs
Perform basic nursing functions
Assume care for physical and psychological needs
Initiate life support measures
Assist in “Code Blue” procedure
Perform CPR as needed
Keep work area clean and sanitary
Stock exam/dressing rooms
Report unusual findings
Assist with clerical functions
Provide education and training to student technologists

The University of Miami UHealth System, Department of Imaging Services, has an exciting opportunity for a Mammography Technologist Level 3 at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami. The incumbent is responsible for performing complex procedures in Mammography through the operations of radiographic equipment to obtain the highest quality of diagnostic images. The Level III technologist will execute all duties of level I and II while demonstrating independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative are essential in addition to responsibility for designated areas, procedures, and equipment. He/she will serve as a unit lead technologist by assisting other radiologic technologists, ensuring quality, and resolving situations as they arise. **CORE JOB FUNCTIONS** * Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures. * Supervises as well as performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction/supervision of a radiologist. * Assist with the education and training of new physicians. * Assist radiologists and PhD's in developing new protocols and imaging techniques that are unique to the facility. * Participate in research initiatives and development of research protocols. * Act in a team leader capacity on a routine basis. * Monitor charging of procedures and supplies daily to ensure correctness. * Demonstrate equipment for 'site visits' for visiting physicians and administrators. * Provide in-service classes in section. * Aids with orientation and training of new Mammography Technologists. * Obtains and examines the order for a Mammo
