Ensure success of major shutdowns 2027 and 2028; Guarantee complete, structured, timely preparation; Start shutdowns on schedule; Complete work within defined windows; Respect validated budgets; Respect HSE requirements; Respect QMM performance standards; Secure facility availability; Ensure long-term asset reliability; Integrate CAPEX projects without schedule or cost overruns

Risk management; Deviation analysis; Corrective actions; Contingency planning; Decision making under pressure
Onsite work, 10 hours per day, 5 days per week (preparation), 6 days per week (execution), Base onsite 5/2, Remote recovery hours, Holidays integrated into rotations
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10 to 15 years experience in industrial major shutdowns, Confirmed experience in integrated maintenance/projects/PMO organizations, Mining, heavy industrial, petrochemical environment or equivalent, Global shutdown execution coordination, Solid technical profile mainly mechanical, Shutdown methodologies, Advanced planning (SAP PM, MS Project), Transverse and field leadership, Very familiar with Project Management, Strong transversal leadership, Excellent operational coordination capacity, Field leadership and natural authority, Clear and factual communication, Composure and pressure management, Exemplary safety culture, Facilitator and transmission posture
Nice to Have
English fluent, French highly recommended, Malagasy optional
What You'll Do.

Oversee 2027 and 2028 Mine and MSP shutdowns
Act as operational interface between Shutdown
Improve shutdown organization
Train and coach QMM shutdown teams
Ensure success of major shutdowns 2027 and 2028
and timely preparation
Pilot and coordinate shutdown execution
Complete all work within defined shutdown windows
Respect validated budgets
Respect HSE requirements
Respect QMM performance standards
Secure facility availability
Ensure long-term asset reliability
Integrate CAPEX projects
Understand facilities
and local constraints
Perform structured transition with current shutdown leader
Understand operational functioning between Shutdown
Participate in execution coordination with current leader
Review experience feedback (HSE
Consolidate provisional scope for 2027-2028 shutdowns
Identify critical maintenance work
Integrate CAPEX projects into shutdown scope
Clarify maintenance/projects/operations interfaces
and logistical resource needs
Develop Shutdown Preparation Plan
Construct detailed schedule in coordination with PMO
Manage interdependencies and priorities
Review constructability and global risk analysis
Develop and standardize workpacks
Implement contingency scenarios
Pilot daily global shutdown execution
Coordinate closely with PMO for CAPEX projects
Manage multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
Manage co-activity and field interfaces
Supervise field operations and track progress
Analyze cost/schedule/quality deviations
Implement corrective actions
Strictly apply QMM and Rio Tinto HSE standards
Achieve zero accidents with lost time
Proactively manage risks related to maintenance/projects interfaces
Coach local teams (planners
shutdown supervisors)
Strengthen maintenance/projects coordination skills
Develop and formalize QMM shutdown standards and best
Systematically capitalize on experience feedback
Capture lessons learned post-shutdown
Coordinate global execution during shutdown period
Orchestrate interfaces between maintenance
Ensure alignment of resources
Provide regular progress reports
Provide HSE and compliance reporting
Provide formalized post-shutdown experience feedback
