# **Job Description** **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**_The primary duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician consist of, but are not limited to, the following:_ * Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant. * Work in a professional manner with other maintenance personnel and mold technicians as needed to keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only quality product being released to the customer. * Troubleshoot, remove and replace different types of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systems. * Pre-inspect parts or equipment to be repaired to determine what parts, supplies, forms, tools, tool repair and shop equipment are required; and communicate with Maintenance Manager. * Read programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems. * Diagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls. * Replace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment. * Communicate with other plant personnel when requested to, to review deficiencies. * Accurately log all work performed. * Maintain work areas in a clean orderly manner. * Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. * Perform PM’s, cleans and lubricates molding machines and equipment * Modifies, repairs, and rebuilds plant machinery and equipment * Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair * Visually inspects and solves problem machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions * Measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or improper operation * Documents repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment * Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned * Potential duties may also include: Fabrication and installation of related trades; performing building maintenance; and general facility repairs * Perfor
