What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1-3 years maintenance experience, Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, Refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or obtain in the first 90 days, Valid driver's license, Dependable transportation, Use various hand tools and test equipment, Bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, Push and pull up to 300 pounds on wheels, Lift up to 50 pounds, Climb ladders of up to 40 feet, Use a hand-truck
Nice to Have
Apartment maintenance experience preferred, Budget or basic business finance helpful
What You'll Do.
Assist in all maintenance requests
Assist in preventative maintenance
Assist in amenity area maintenance
Complete maintenance work orders for residents
Respond to emergency maintenance requests
Resolve emergency maintenance requests
Prepare vacant apartments to make rent ready
Perform preventative maintenance work
Keep maintenance shop clean
Maintain adequate stock/inventory of parts
Interact directly with residents
Enter service requests and status updates into database
Assist in monitoring contractors work performance
Support Maintenance Manager in meeting budget responsibilities
Follow company policies and procedures
Promote company policies and procedures
Make Customer Service a priority
Perform light cleaning duties
Maintain amenity areas
Wear clean and neat uniform
Communicate with residents and prospects
Read resident requests/complaints
Listen to resident requests/complaints
Receive resident complaints
Solve problems quickly
Contact supervisor for immediate assistance
Deliver newsletters to residents
Deliver correspondence to residents
Coordinate resident functions
Set up resident functions
Attend resident functions
Clean up after resident functions
