What They're Looking For.
Must Have
At least 2 years of experience in building operations or general maintenance in a commercial, retail or industrial environment., Strong, hands-on knowledge of general maintenance, Sound knowledge of building systems and emergency procedures., Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) and First Aid and CPR training., Knowledge of Provincial Building Code & Regulations, Canadian Electrical Code, Provincial Fire Code and Electrical Safety Authority.
Nice to Have
Experience in working at heights and use of booms and lifts an asset., Computer literate (knowledge of Yardi/Angus Anywhere is an asset).
What You'll Do.
Support the performance
and day‑to‑day operations of building systems
Perform a broad range of building operations and maintenance responsibilities
Ensure systems are operating efficiently
and to a high standard of quality
Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and concerns
providing effective and courteous solutions
Record all work performed using the Yardi work order management system
Address all tenant and Property Management requests generated through the Yardi preventative maintenance system
Perform minor maintenance and repairs
Ensure all building systems and equipment are operated safely
and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Conduct and document preventative maintenance tasks
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms
Ensure signage and lighting are functional and properly maintained
Support Building Operators with regular monitoring
and inspections of fire alarm
and building security systems
reporting any deficiencies
Coordinate and schedule maintenance
and replacements with approved contractors
Oversee contractor work on site
Maintain and track tools
and equipment request replacements
Respond to after-hours calls and emergencies
Assist with seasonal tasks
Support on-site logistics
Ensure ongoing compliance with company policies
and government regulations while upholding building standards and operational efficiencies

Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with all departments to ensure efficient, safe, and smooth building operations.; Collaborate with Building Operators, Property Management, and external partners to support preventative maintenance, respond to operational requirements, and contribute to the overall performance and user experience at The Well.
