What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of experience in a maintenance role, Required understanding of mechanical and electrical machine repair, Knowledge of GMP’s, Follow all food safety guidelines, Ability to understand drawings, Ability to understand equipment manuals, Ability to use a multimeter, Basic understanding of electrical components, Basic understanding of troubleshooting process, Basic computer skills, Excellent written communication skills, Excellent verbal communication skills, Experience in food manufacturing
Nice to Have
Ability to tig weld stainless steel, Ability to solder copper pipe, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, Welding certification, NFPA 70e certification, PLC experience, HS Diploma or GED, Vocational school, trade school, professional degree, Certificate or Apprenticeship in maintenance related field

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. Location - This role will be onsite based out of our Elmhurst location with occasional visits to our Burr Ridge production facility. Shift - This is a first shift role and will primarily be from 7am - 3:30pm. About the role: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance and performance support for large-scale manufacturing equipment by accurately assessing equipment condition and performing required repairs, as well as supporting the general upkeep of the manufacturing facility and equipment at both the Burr Ridge and Elmhurst locations. Responsibilities: Install and maintain cooking, packaging, and bagging equipment (conveyors, kettles, poppers, VFFS, product scales, coding systems & inspection equipment) Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce failure Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing failures Abi
