What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school or equivalent diploma, NVQ Level 3/ SVQ Level 3/ IVQ Level 3/ City & Guilds Level 3/EAL Level 3 specialized in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, 4 years UK certified apprenticeship, Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, Experience in electrical and electronic principles, Experience in preventative maintenance procedures, Experience in blueprint and schematic reading, Experience in industrial electrical, Experience in industrial controls, Experience in industrial electronics, Experience in Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, Experience in National Electrical Code (NEC), Experience in work order management, Experience using CMMS, A full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship, Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject, Relevant experience in a technical leadership role, Relevant experience working in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments, Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
Nice to Have
Associate's degree in Mechatronics or related technical field, Experience in vendor management, Experience with robotic maintenance, Experience leading engineering teams as mentor or tech lead, Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards, Experience working in a multi-contractor and multi-site working environment, Understanding of PLC based controls systems, Understanding of statutory compliance requirements, Experience using computerised maintenance management systems to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks, A degree preferably in a technical discipline or operations
What You'll Do.
Demonstrate best practice using equipment safely
Monitor teams to ensure correct processes
Keep track of equipment performance
Schedule additional servicing when required
Supervise technicians on shift
Support technician development
Act as first point of contact for Reliability
Solve issues in equipment
Reduce downtime for operations
Support finding ways to continually improve systems
Standardise processes across EU network
Ensure equipment is needed and running properly
Monitor processes for regulations and policies
Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out
Increase equipment uptime
Suggest improvements to make systems efficient
Implement improvements across EU-wide function
Monitor processes with tools like Scada
Guarantee performance
Work closely with line manager
Assist with admin tasks
Troubleshoot equipment
Keep buildings legally compliant
Ensure sites operate at maximum efficiency
Reduce downtime in operations sites
