Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law, Incumbents need to be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas, Incumbents must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet), Incumbents must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance, Local, routine travel may be required, Incumbents must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays, Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property, if applicable

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade, Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices, Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems, Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills, Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs, Mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions

What You'll Do.

Oversees and performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the inside and external buildings

and common areas of the community meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness

and overall functionality

Assists and completes work orders generated from resident requests for service

as well as routine upkeep on the community

Oversees and completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins

Develops standards for the cleanliness and overall appearance of the community’s grounds

Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures

Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs

Conducts regularly scheduled Greystar safety meetings

Ensures all MSDS sheets are current and readily accessible

Keeps up to date on all OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements to ensure community compliance
