What You'll Achieve.
Drive results to support plant strategic imperatives. Analyze, propose and correct longer-term solutions to existing and repeating problems. Inspect, monitor, assess and assure the facility and equipment remains cGMP compliant and in a constant state of audit readiness.

May work in a cold, wet environment. May be exposed to sunlight and heat. May be exposed to dust, gases, and fumes. May be required to stand and walk frequently while evaluating utilities equipment. May be around moving equipment and machinery. May climb up and into large tanks for inspection. May be working in a loud area that requires hearing protection and other protective equipment to be worn. May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, and buffers that may require respiratory protection. May be required to work or be assigned to a different shift as needed. This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work. Must be able to work 12 hours shifts and rotate with assigned shift. Overtime may be required at times. Requires performing activities within the utilities equipment, mechanical work and computer-based activities. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds when managing chemicals.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Typically requires high school diploma or GED plus 6+ years of related experience or bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, sciences, engineering or related field and 3+ years of related experience. Some leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of lab techniques, theory, and practical hands-on sampling and testing. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, SCADA, process control software and other computer base applications. Must have demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interface well with personnel of all levels. Must be able to work and facilitate a team-oriented environment. Must possess problem-solving skills. Must have organizational and administrative skills. Must have communication skills (both verbal and written). Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing setting and prioritize responsibilities of self and direct reports appropriately. Must have the ability to analyze and interpret scientific and statistical data. Must have ability to understand cGMPs and other regulatory guidelines applicable to the medical/pharmaceutical industry. Must have aptitude for operation and controls of utilities equipment and processes. Proficient within CMMS, JDE and or Maximo. May be required to supervise multiple groups.
