Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law, Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods, Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas, Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions, Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently, Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds with assistance, Local, routine travel may be required, Ability to work a flexible work schedule, taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training, Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade, must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices, Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems, Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills, Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs, Mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions
Nice to Have
Property management system experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Oversees and performs technical and mechanical work
and common areas meet standards
Completes work orders for resident requests
Performs routine upkeep on community
Diagnoses and makes repairs
Completes the make-ready process for apartments
Inspects work performed by others
Maintains adequate inventory of spare parts
Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures
Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs
Conducts safety meetings
Ensures MSDS sheets are current
Keeps up to date on safety laws
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Interacts with residents, clients, team members, and business contacts; Answers questions from team and residents; Works with Community Manager to order supplies
