Must Have
3+ years mechanic experience with truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance and repair, Ability to train and motivate staff a must, Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems, Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair
Nice to Have
Waste industry experience desired, Ability to Relocate preferred
What You'll Do.
leading the team during daily work orders
preventative maintenance
review and ensure proper completion of repair orders by all technicians
Provides Training and assists Mechanics on methods for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment
Work with Maintenance Manager to provide daily communications to operations on available trucks and trucks out of service for repair and other operational needs
Shadow and train with maintenance manager on Waste Connections top shop program
and other compliance programs
Work with parts clerk daily to ensure technician needs are met
Performs daily documented tailgates
Perform quality control inspection and work observations
Perform fleet inspections with operations team
Ensures adherence to the corporate safety program
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Promote collaboration between and among all employees on the campus; Work with Maintenance Manager to provide daily communications to operations; Communicates regularly with the District Maintenance Manager and all shop personnel
