Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. Dawson Mine Our Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mine and is showing no signs of slowing down! Dawson’s mining process is completed by varied fleets of which this role focuses on the Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet. It’s not just the interesting large pieces of equipment that you would be working on in the HME workshop, it’s also the placement of Dawson, it is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett. Dawson Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the Southern HME Workshop Maintenance team on a permanent basis, based in Moura, QLD. This role will have you oversee a range of equipment such as Electric Drive Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, Watercarts and the Wheel Loader Fleet, whilst working within the site’s work management process to deliver safe and on-time maintenance. The Maintenance Supervisor’s key responsibilities are, but not limited to: * Develop a culture focused on safety and efficiency that will be able to deliver optimal business results. * Lead a team of mixed trades’ people, comprising of employees, embedded and contractors to complete quality work per the maintenance schedule. * Support effective resource allocation (people, equipment, and resources) to meet maintenance work schedules. * Provide support and advice to the Maintenance team on ways to optimise equipment reliability and availability. * Work with operations and process team to address daily operat
