Must Have
Certification in a relevant maintenance trade, knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance operations and related processes, 7-10 years of progressive experience in an automotive (JIT) Tier 1 manufacturing environment, Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, Working knowledge of continuous improvement processes/lean manufacturing concepts, methods and principles, Good understanding of the expense understanding of operational planning with project management skills to manage/co-ordinate extensive internal and external project resources, Ability to partner with internal/external customers, suppliers and contractors, Working knowledge of customer shipping requirements, inventory controls, production scheduling, plant/equipment maintenance, engineering systems and procedures and plant raw materials, Good knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, proficiency with Microsoft and other manufacturing related software
What You'll Do.
Maintain safe working conditions and practices
Ensure employees know how to perform jobs efficiently
Ensure employees are aware of correct and safe equipment operation
Instruct employees on personal protective equipment use
Recognize and rectify unsafe working conditions
Maintain excellent housekeeping in the department
Complete and report accident investigations
Comply with all Company safety policies
Align maintenance departmental objectives to Magna principles
Lead and motivate employees
Implement creative and innovative solutions
Provide direction to employees in facility matters
Schedule and assign daily duties
Review completed work for conformance
Deliver on commitments
Treat people fairly and with respect
Respond to employee concerns
Provide clear and specific performance feedback
Appraise employee effectiveness
Develop others through coaching and training
Communicate and train employees on Technical System Procedures
Develop an annual maintenance plan
Oversee implementation of ongoing and preventative maintenance
Authorize maintenance related purchase orders
Promote cost reduction programs
Ensure compliance to the plant maintenance budget
Provide leadership to the maintenance organization
Monitor employee performance levels
Ensure compliance of maintenance personnel with contractor scheduling
Ensure procedures are in place for expediting lead-time items
Perform special projects
