What You'll Do.
Ensure safety is the number one priority
Plan and schedule maintenance work
Track performance and maintain accurate records
Serve as liaison between mechanical craft department and
Receive all mechanical requests except for emergencies
Direct project or construction work orders to appropriate
Consult with engineering as needed
Analyze work orders into basic job steps
Determine sequence of job steps
Determine needed parts
Determine line conditions
Estimate costs for work orders
Verify availability of parts and materials
Maintain backlog file of work orders
Notify requester and adjust priority if jobs cannot
Chair weekly scheduling meeting with operations
Produce weekly schedule and issue to operations
Issue work order packets to maintenance supervisor
Ensure equipment to be worked on will be
Review completed work schedules and corresponding work orders
Make recommendations for backlog control
Maintain contact with other planners for coordination
Develop standard job plans for recurring work
Assist in analyzing costs
Recommend action for cost efficiency
Maintain equipment history records through CMMS
Develop/modify PMs as required
Make recommendations for planning and scheduling improvements

In short, the same qualities we look for in our people. **We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana!** The Maintenance Planner is charged with supporting the execution of mechanical work by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling, and recording required historical data. Coordinates work orders with maintenance support to manage backlogs efficiently. Ensures timely and coordinated availability of facilities and equipment to be worked on, parts, materials, and special tools/equipment for orderly and efficient work execution. Provides all documentation needed to perform work.
