Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts basic maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and escalates non-routine and complex issues to senior coworkers. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision. Principal duties in this position are the maintenance and repair/rebuild of the following: * Welding machines, including calibration * Cutting torches * Small hand tools maintenance - grinders, tank cleaning equipment, etc. * Vehicles maintenance- tire rotation, etc. * Air compressor maintenance and operation * Maintenance of the Track equipment * Forklift operations * Overhead hoists and cranes * Trackmobile * Stationary Machinery: Drill press, meba saw, band saw, pipe threader, pipe bender, cutoff saw, radial arm drill press, etc. * Additional related duties as assigned Requirements for this position are as follows: * Safe Work * WHMIS training, experience dealing with hazardous commodities * Detail oriented * Excellent time management skills * The ability to work well independently. * Strong initiative * Dependable/reliable * Inventory management The incumbent should be a Journeyman Millwright. Welding skills and WHMIS training would be an asset. Effective communication and organizational skills, strong initiative, and an ability to work well under pressure are also desired.
