What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5-10 years hands-on mechanical experience, High School Education, Commitment to personal safety and the safety of others, Ability to read mechanical blueprints identify parts and research part numbers, Basic knowledge of large HP mechanical drive systems including gear box reducers, belt and pulley, and chain and sprocket, Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills, Knowledge of basic mechanical power transmission components i. e. belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, and shaft couplings, Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping, Ability to run a Bridgeport, lathe and basic welding skills, Ability to work with the other employees in the maintenance dept as well as machine operators to implement projects and process improvements, The ability to work independently and make decisions, Ability to follow direction and work in a safe and effective manner, Basic computer skills, Basic knowledge of electricity a plus, Quickly generate unique and creative solutions to technical challenges

Maintain and repair equipment

Make repairs to piping systems
Respond to emergencies/outages
Perform quality checks
Document maintenance records
Take active role in lean initiatives
