Must Have
Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine or related discipline), Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning or sustainment engineering within Maritime or Defence environments, Proven ability to interpret engineering and ILS data as well as Technical manuals, maintenance requirements and OEM inputs, Experience aligning maintenance plans with operational constraints and asset availability, Familiarisation with ADF/Defence sustainment frameworks and MSM concepts, Experience with ECCPB, Austal vessel data, or similar programs, Required Security Clearance Level: Baseline
What You'll Do.
Develop and maintain the Annual Maintenance Work Plan (AWP) for ABF ECCPBs
ensuring all required maintenance activities are clearly defined and structured
Align maintenance plans with ABF operational schedules
including Usage and Upkeep Cycles (UUC)
patrol demands and vessel availability
Translate engineering
OEM and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) inputs into a practical
deliverable maintenance schedule
Ensure maintenance activities are realistic and balancing operational requirements
time constraints and resource availability
Work closely with inventory and logistics teams to ensure materiel availability supports maintenance timelines
Adapt existing ADF sustainment approaches to suit ABF operating conditions and differences in usage and configuration
Engage with stakeholders across Defence
ABF and industry to validate assumptions
confirm feasibility and maintain alignment
Continuously refine the maintenance plan as inputs ensuring it remains accurate
practical and fit-for-purpose
