Industry & Context.
6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program, Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire., 90 days (3 months) waiting period., background checks may be required, Hourly Applicants ONLY -You must complete the task after submitting your application to provide additional information to be considered for employment., physical ability to lift at least 40-50 lbs, stand throughout the majority of the shift, capability to work in all environmental conditions both inside and outside of the facility, Overtime will be required, Some off-shift work will be scheduled possibly on weekend or due to seasonal duties., Some off-shift work will be scheduled and may include weekends.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
verifiable knowledge of hand and power tools, Good mechanical ability, verifiable general knowledge of vehicle maintenance inclusive of preventative and scheduled maintenance, plumbing skills, general knowledge of electrical and lighting, ability to operate a forklift, bobcat, shag truck and all other company vehicles, clean driving history, ability to lift at least 40-50 lbs, stand throughout the majority of the shift, capability to work in all environmental conditions both inside and outside of the facility, Overtime will be required, excellent communication skills, fluent in English, good written skills, Attention to detail work, ability to work as a team member
Nice to Have
Maintenance experience preferred, computer skills a plus

general building and equipment maintenance
handling snow removal during the winter months
general repair and maintenance of all forklifts
motorized pallet jacks
company vehicles and other equipment owned by the company
General building repairs such as plumbing needs
painting and assisting with general cleanliness of the facility and grounds
as well as moving office equipment
trash removal from the facility
cleanliness and organization of the truck sheds
maintenance shop and bone yard
