Provincial/Industrial mechanic certification, Read, write, speak, and understand English, Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods, Coordinate movements quickly and accurately, Work effectively in a fast-paced high-quality manufacturing environment, Wear safety equipment, personal protective equipment, Perform all good housekeeping assignments, Help organize and maintain maintenance areas and stock room, Stand or walk for 12 hours, Lift and/or move 50 pounds
Nice to Have
Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical, Five years related experience, Equivalent combination of education and experience
What You'll Do.
Maintain all production machinery and mechanical equipment
Ensure efficient operation of machines and facility
Accountable for projects
repairs and/or improvements on the
Accountable for mold changes
Accountable for maintaining preventative maintenance
Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all
Improve production equipment
efficiency and reliability
and fabricate necessary elements
Analyze and resolve all issues related to the
Ensure cleanliness of all equipment and related areas
developing and improving equipment PM
Communicate to the supervisor on the condition of
Assist and train production employees in machine conversions
Assist other maintenance employees with repairs
Assist in maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts
Ensure parts catalogue is up-to-date
Keep parts room organized and clean
Keep all tools in good and safe condition
Ensure tools are returned to its appropriate location
Ensure toolbox is parked in the designated area
Keep top of toolbox clean of parts and
Direct and advise production employees in machine conversion
Ensure HazMat area is kept clean
Ensure waste material is properly disposed of
Ensure PM cart is stocked and organized
Perform all duties in a safe and efficient
Perform systems room checks
Perform Pressco checks
Perform Daily shop housekeeping
Perform Video jet daily PM’s
and interpret general business periodicals
and interpret professional journals
and interpret technical procedures
and interpret government regulations
Write business correspondence
Write procedure manuals
Effectively present information
Respond to questions from groups of managers
Calculate figures and amounts
Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Solve practical problems
Deal with a variety of concrete variables
Interpret a variety of instructions
Reach with hands and arms
