Join our team as a **Machinist** to support our Anoka HOFFMAN Operations to support **2nd shift.** Fabricate precision parts, fixtures, and gauges from samples, prints, drawings, sketches, and oral instruction using mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and other shop tools. Assist the operations team by optimizing and maintaining production equipment. In addition, assist contractors/manufactures in new equipment installation and start-up by troubleshooting, fabricating and/or modifying parts. **The ideal candidate will have:** * Experience is maintenance or machine shop performing setups and operation of manual mills and lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and band saws. * Experience in reading and understanding mechanical prints. * Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, height gauges, and indicators. * Welding experience preferred. * Ability to hold geometric tolerances to a minimum of +/- .003 inch and +/- .06 degree preferred. * Good mechanical and mathematical skills. * Certificate program degree in Machining Technology preferred. * Ability to work evening shifts. **Pay Transparency** nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
