Full Job Description
The Machinist is responsible for producing precision machined parts using CNC machining centers. This role includes setting up machines, running production, inspecting parts, and supporting consistent quality throughout the machining process. You’ll work with CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to produce parts to print while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality standards. **Shifts Available:** * Shift 15: 5:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Thursday * Shift 16: 3:00pm – 1:00am, Monday – Thursday (+$1.25/hour shift differential) * Shift 21: 6:00am – 6:00pm, Friday – Sunday (+$3.50/hour shift differential) **Starting rate of pay:** $20.14–$28.68 per hour base rate (based on experience) ### **What You’ll Do Day-to-Day** * Set up and operate CNC machining centers to produce precision parts to print * Run production jobs with attention to quality, consistency, and efficiency * Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure requirements are met * Make offsets and tool adjustments to maintain quality and account for wear * Monitor machining processes and resolve basic issues during production * Support tooling changes, setups, and machine readiness * Assist with training or guidance for other machinists as needed * Record production activity in the ERP system **Requirements** * 1–2 years of machining experience required * CNC technical training or related education preferred * Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and/or machining centers * Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability * Comfortable using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) * Ability to make machine adjustments (offsets, tool changes, corrections) * Strong attention to detail in precision machining work **Physical Requirements** * Ability to stand for extended periods * Lift up to 100lbs occasionally * Bend, reach, and handle parts throughout the shift * Frequent handling
