Building on its history of innovation, Carpenter Technology’s wrought and powder technology capabilities support a range of next-generation products and manufacturing techniques, including novel magnetic materials and additive manufacturing. **PRIMARY DUTIES:** To learn the machinist maintenance craft by successfully participating in an apprentice program consisting of a combination of on–the-job training and related classroom instruction. **REQUIREMENTS:** * A resume outlining qualifications and experience must be submitted to be considered for this position. * The program involves on-the-job training + classroom study (outside of regularly scheduled work hours, tuition paid by Carpenter Technology). * Applicants must have earned a High School diploma or equivalent. * Machinist schooling and/or experience preferred * Applicants must be willing to upgrade their knowledge and skills as new technology and methods are introduced. * Qualified candidates must attend **_non-compensated_ **related classroom training when scheduled after normal working hours. * Successful candidates selected for this program must read, agree to, and sign an Apprenticeship agreement. * Candidates must maintain minimum standards of on-the-job progress and academic standing in order to remain in the Program. * Selection of qualified candidates for this Program **_will not_** be based on seniority. **INSTRUCTIONS:** Selection criteria will apply, which will include an interview.
