The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from prints, setting up jobs, holding tight tolerances, and producing quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports both production and short-run / repair work. **Key Responsibilities** * Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes. * Operate manual mills, manual lathes, drill presses, band saws, and precision grinding equipment. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. * Select proper tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipment. * Inspect parts using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, etc.). * Make basic program edits at the machine as needed (offsets, wear, minor changes). * Maintain part quality and meet production requirements. * Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized. * Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures. * Communicate issues related to tooling, materials, or machine performance to supervision. **Required Qualifications** * Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience. * Experience running CNC milling and turning equipment. * Experience operating manual mills and lathes. * Ability to hold close tolerances and perform precision work. * Strong understanding of machining fundamentals (feeds, speeds, tooling, materials). * Ability to read blueprints and use standard inspection tools. * Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on 2nd shift. * CNC setup experience. * Experience with precision grinding (surface or cylindrical). * Basic troubleshooting and problem
