Position Summary & Objective The Machining/Welding Supervisor is responsible to coordinate the shop floor activities within the machine shop and welding teams to ensure products are produced safely, cost-effectively, and on-time while meeting all quality standards. This position has direct supervision for the hourly team members who are responsible for on-time delivery of finished products. Essential Functions Performed by the Position * Leads with a safety-first culture and champions all safety and housekeeping improvement activities/programs while being proactive in eliminating potential safety hazards and unsafe behavior. * Ensures near miss, incident reports, and investigations happen in a timely manner. * Directly manages the activities of CNC machinists and welders. * Assists Engineering with scope of work, including providing details on the inventory parts used during the machining and welding process. * Ensures safety and quality procedures are followed. * Manages and schedules department team members to ensure on-time delivery and efficient
