# **Job Description** **SUMMARY** Responsible for all aspects of safe machine operation in area of assigned responsibility including movement of finished product. Schedule is a 12-hour shift, 4 days on then 4 days off. 7a-7p are the hours **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Randomly check parts produced every hour, to ensure that customer specifications are met. * Places parts in specified relationship to each other. * Monitors flow of parts into assembling machinery, secondary equipment, and storage containers. * Tends machines, such as presses and crystallized which perform in molding area, according to machine (product) standard. * Works at different work stations as production needs require. * Works on line where tasks vary, as parts of various sizes and shapes move along the line. * Assists in training new operators as needed. * Check all finished parts for any possible defects (including grease, flash, punctures, and other defects). * Completes daily report of parts produced and any scrap parts which resulted. * Notifies Lead Person, Mold/injection Technician and/or Production Supervisor whenever items produced do not meet quality requirements, or if machinery need repair. * Uses calculator to arrive at accurate calculations of different production-related data. * Wears all required personal protective equipment. * Maintains housekeeping of work areas. # # LEVEL OF AUTHORITY The Machine Operator has the authority to shut down production equipment if an unsafe condition exists or to prevent the production defective product and place product on hold if it does not meet the customer/company specification # TRAINING REQUIREMENTS The Machine Operator has the responsibility to successfully complete the position training program found in the plant training manual. **QUALIFICATIONS** Requires strong understanding of blow molding process and the ability to understand basic good manufacturing practices and gui
