Must Have
Associate’s degree in machining, Tool & Die apprenticeship, or Machinist apprenticeship program, Three to five years of related on-the-job experience, Familiarity with various machine tools, manufacturing processes, Understanding of machining techniques and principles, Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, Ability to use precision measuring instruments

What You'll Do.
Set up and operate machinery such as lathes
Work with precision instruments such as micrometers
Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines
Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools such as lathes
and grinders to produce precision parts
Align and secure holding fixtures
and materials onto machines
Follow detailed job-specific instructions to ensure efficient machining processes that meet blueprint specifications
Read and interpret blueprints
or engineering specifications to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to machine products
or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to machine products
Machine parts to specifications
employing conventional and CNC machinery
Inspect and measure finished products using precision instruments (e.g.
gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications
Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
Use proper lifting techniques and ergonomic practices
Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
and orderly workstation to promote efficiency and safety
