Must Have

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges, Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility

Nice to Have

Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred, If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing

What You'll Do.

Provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care

under the supervision of a registered nurse

advanced practice provider

Performs testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed

recommends solutions and responds effectively to assist in an emergent situation

Contributes to the assessment of residents

Administers medications or treatments as ordered

Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed

Documents resident interactions and the outcomes related to resident care

family members and/or resident advocate

under the direction of a registered nurse

advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans

Develops a self-care program

Performs other related duties as assigned
