Amazon offers an exciting opportunity to join a creative, dynamic team of Logistics Specialists, dedicated to providing our Customers with a world class Customer Service. Be a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure. Amazon Web Services is seeking a bright, motivated, hardworking, self-starting individual to join our team as a Logistics Specialist in our Data Centres in the Greater Western London area. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Safety & Operational Excellence. We hope it is you! This position involves frequent lifting of materials and products (of up to 18 kgs). Responsibilities include manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials. They will also coordinate daily scheduling of deliveries and collections to and from multiple locations. In handling incoming shipments, they will have to unpack boxes and verify contents. The Logistics Specialist will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company locations. The Logistics Specialist is expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high levels of quality and be willing to travel up to 50% to support other locations within the region (within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport). Future opportunities for international travel to support other regions may arise.
