Full Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to fill Data Center Logistics positions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in logistics with a focus of transportation, shipping receiving and inventory control and warehousing. They must possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to multitask and operate in a very fast paced complex environment, meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence. Additionally offering strong customer support and the ability to remain flexible with frequent shifts in priorities. The Logistics Specialist will process in-stock components as well as receive and process inbound shipments and coordinate and execute daily equipment deliveries to Datacenters across the region. Also be able to drive up to 10 hours a day. You will also assist with ongoing requests to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained and distributed to all locations to support build and repair activities. Working with the Logistics Manager, they create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory locations and movement. They work closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately. They will also work with Procurement teams to ensure that inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center Locations. They are responsible for accurate data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations. Additionally, the Logistics Specialist will ensure that all information associated with the deliveries such as inventory tracking and Ticket updates are accurate to ensure equipment is ready for processing by end user. The ideal Logistics Specialist will dive deep into and the inventory they distribute to better understand the tracking, control and accuracy surrounding the components.
