**JOB DESCRIPTION** _Compensation_ _51,200.00 - 95,900.00_ **Purpose** The Logistics Planner is responsible for analyzing and managing one or more assigned Sysco Site’s Inbound Logistics network in support of our overall service and financial objectives. This includes optimizing the inbound supply chain to create the most efficient means of transportation to reduce freight expenses and maximize profitability. Additionally, this role is tasked with the identification, analysis, and implementation of opportunities to increase Sysco controlled cases and shared loads across Sites, as well as promote service level and overall process improvements. **Responsibilities** * Plan and tender optimized inbound loads via Manhattan TMS to our established carrier partners * Maximize overall load fill percentages & shipment profitability on logistics controlled inbound freight * Monitor and manage inbound carrier performance * Analyze and present new freight opportunities to increase site-controlled pickups * Setup & implement new supplier pickup conversions / freight programs * Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Merchandising and Operations Teams * Provide OS&D reporting to carrier and Merchandising team within 48 hours * Manage & mitigate carrier and supplier freight claims in collaboration with related cross functional teams * Manage CORA workflow and resolve various freight/allowance AP issues as needed * Facilitate border crossing requirements as needed * Collaborate with the CSC Logistics leadership team for problem resolution and emergency escalations * Work with local operations team(s) to resolve detained carriers * Validate detention times within 48hr time frame and enter in TMS detention module * Provide requested information to the inbound scheduler to assist with appointments for logistics loads * Create backhaul CPU reporting as needed and confirm that backhaul pickups were completed * Work with receiving to balance Logistics loads on the inbound s
