What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience), 3–5 years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably in mining, construction, or heavy industry, Experience working in a remote, industrial, or 24/7 operational environment, understanding of freight coordination and inventory management
Nice to Have
Prior experience in an open-pit or underground mining operation, Knowledge of heavy equipment transport and bulk materials handling, Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Pronto, Oracle, etc.), Familiarity with FIFO/DIDO workforce logistics
What You'll Do.

Schedule and monitor deliveries
Inspect copper scrap received on site
Manage freight providers and carriers
and on-site material handling activities
Track shipments and resolve delays
Maintain accurate inventory records using site ERP and inventory systems
Work closely with warehouse and procurement teams to manage stock levels and reorder points
Support critical spares management
Conduct stock takes and audits
Liaise with production
Coordinate logistics for shutdowns
major maintenance events

Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment
Ensure all logistics activities comply with mine safety standards
MSHA/OSHA regulations
Coordinate transport of hazardous materials
Promote a safety culture and participate in site safety meetings

Ensure environmental controls are followed
Prepare logistics reports
and cost tracking documentation
Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

SUMMARY The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from the mine site to ensure uninterrupted mining operations. This role supports production, maintenance, and construction activities while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in a mining environment.
