What They're Looking For.
Must Have
higher-education qualification in logistics, purchasing or supply-chain management, at least 3 years’ professional experience in humanitarian logistics, coordination-level responsibility, solid experience in supply-chain management, fleet management, stock management, safety/security, able to interact appropriately with local colleagues in a context where emotions are expressed indirectly, subtly, and with little outward display, able to maintain a stable, calm, and constructive demeanor over time, without becoming irritated by the pace, the silences, or what remains unsaid, able to help a national logistics officer grow and develop through mentorship, empowerment, and preparation for taking on a leadership role (deputy/coordinator), able to operate in a high-security environment without acting impulsively or recklessly
Nice to Have
Strengthened expertise in logistics coordination in a high-complexity humanitarian context, Experience in capacity building and management of multicultural teams, Exposure to community-based programmes and localization approaches, Involvement in emergency preparedness and response mechanisms

Define and implement mission-wide logistics strategy
Coordinate logistics activities
Monitor logistics activities
Manage logistics budget
Support programme teams in purchase planning
Supervise procurement
Supervise warehousing
Supervise stock management
Manage and develop logistics team
Ensure proper management of buildings
Ensure proper management of equipment
Ensure proper management of fleet
Ensure proper management of IT
Ensure proper management of telecommunications
Contribute to proposal development
Contribute to donor reporting
Contribute to emergency preparedness
Support General Coordinator in implementing safety and security procedures
Prevent and address risks related to fraud and corruption
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
coordinate all logistics components of the mission; support programme implementation; strengthen local capacities; report hierarchically to the General Coordinator; work functionally with the Logistics Advisor at HQ; directly supervise the Logistics Manager based in Yangon; collaborate closely with programme teams; collaborate closely with finance teams; collaborate closely with coordination teams; collaborate closely with external partners; collaborate closely with logistics coordination platforms
