These operations may include, but are not limited to, tracking product shipments, contract negotiations, preparation of budget and cost analysis statements, creation of more efficient logistical planning, and coordination of shipments._ **What a typical day looks like:** * _Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes._ * _Researches for logistics data, using methods such as data mining, data modeling, or cost or benefit research._ * _Apply investigation methods or tools to comprehend, predict, or control logistics operations or processes._ * _Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation._ * _Prepare reports on logistics performance measures._ * _Write or revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes._ * _Confer with logistics management teams to define ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost._ * _Maintain databases of logistics data and information in accordance with corporate policies._ * _Provide ongoing researching in areas such as transportation costs,
