What They're Looking For.
Must Have
CDL Class A with endorsements, Department of Transportation physical certification approval, High school education or equivalent, 2 years verifiable experience with tractor/trailer, Knowledge of Part 49 (CFR) Driver handbook, Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations, Ability to effectively orally communicate
Nice to Have
Skill in operating different classes and types of trucks, Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software
What You'll Do.
Transport products to customers
Ensure safe and well-maintained work environment
Properly secure loads
Assure loads are within legal weight limits
Comply with Department of Transportation standards
Maintain a good driving record
Report vehicle problems and defects
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues
Perform preventative maintenance
Deliver orders on time
Act in a courteous and professional manner
Train and monitor other drivers
Promote a work environment where people are valued
Unload or assist in unloading
Verify count and condition of goods
Make reports of overages
Transport and deliver product according to schedule
Manage customer relationships
Improve organizational efficiency
