# **Local Case Intake Advisor – GBS Patient Safety** 📍 Portugal (supporting Italy) ## ## **Bring your expertise. Shape patient safety. As a **Local Case Intake Advisor** within our Global Business Services (GBS) Patient Safety team, you’ll help ensure the highest standards of pharmacovigilance, protecting patients and supporting the safe use of our medicines. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of science, compliance, and collaboration in a fast-paced, global environment. ## ## ## **About the role:** As a Local Case Intake Advisor, you will manage the intake and processing of **Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs)** at a local level, supporting designated AstraZeneca Marketing Companies. Acting as a key liaison between local teams and Global Patient Safety, you’ll ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality pharmacovigilance operations. ## ## ## **What you’ll do:** * Manage and process **adverse event reports** and ICSRs from post-marketed sources * Support **Health Authority interactions** and queries related to safety cases * Review, assess, and distribute safety data in line with regulatory requirements and SOPs * Contribute to **Quality Management Systems** , including audit readiness and compliance activities * Support pharmacovigilance activities across **organised data collection programs, digital channels, and partnerships** * Identify and manage **product quality complaints (PQC)** and related safety reporting * Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of pharmacovigilance data * Conduct literature searches and **regulatory database screening** where required * Collaborate closely with local Patient Safety teams and cross-functional stakeholders * Provide expertise and guidance to resolve local case intake issues ## ## **Essential skills & experience:** * Degree in
