Full Job Description

For more than 115 years, we’ve worked with our members and the community to create change for the better. **RAC Finance (RACF)** specialise in market leading finance products and services ranging from personal loans, investment notes and property development finance loans. We are currently on the lookout for **a Full-Time Loan Assessor **to join the Personal Finance team. As part of this role you will provide a personalised experience to understand our members current and desired situations, assess loan applications and adhere to strict compliance obligations. Each loan is assessed inline with the RAC Finance Credit Policy, ensuring responsible lending decisions, efficient timeframes and delegated approval authority levels. **What will you be doing**? * Conducting member discussions (inbound/outbound calling) to understand financial information provided on loan applications to support pre-approval or decline decisions * Proactively keep members informed of loan progress, outcomes and complete follow up calls to progress loan applications to settlement * Analysing all data and complete necessary credit assessment checks, to ensure an acceptable level of risk, complying with all legislative requirements including the National Credit Code * Achieve credit assessment targets in accordance with credit policy and procedure * Analysing and verifying supporting loan documentation * Preparation of loan documentation **What will you bring to the role?** * Previous loan assessment experience is required (banking or finance industry experience preferred) * Experience in a customer service role * Strong communication skills * Sound understanding of the national credit code, responsible lending obligations and Privacy Act **What we offer you** Better Journeys Begin at RAC.
