Based in our Los Angeles office, the Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys and other paralegal staff in all phases of litigation, including case management, court filings, document review and production, docket management, document organization, drafting and responding to discovery, deposition and trial preparation, and cite-checking. Working under attorney supervision, you will have the opportunity to work on high stakes cases with a dynamic legal team. This role reports to the Associate Director of Paralegal Services and the Manager, Paralegal Services. Responsibilities include: Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial and appeals. Prepare appellate records and appendices, including compiling and reviewing trial court documents and transcripts. Assisting with calendaring case deadlines. Assisting with drafting court filings and preparations in Federal and State courts, including appellate courts. Assisting with discovery, document collection, organization, review, and productions. Proofreading, cite checking and Bluebooking court briefs and discovery documents. Assisting with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations. Assisting with all aspects, including travel, of trial and arbitration preparations. Assisting litigation and appellate teams with preparations for oral arguments, including creating case and briefing binders. Preparing various charts and indices. Preparing and submitting timekeeping reports. Coordinating with external vendors. Performing various day-to-day case management tasks.
