## **Job Description** **Lifecycle Engineer - Civil Safety Centre** **Derby** **Full Time** We have an exciting opening for a **Lifecycle Engineer** to join the **Civil Safety Centre**. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead investigation teams of specialists to identify root cause, containment and solutions for safety issues. The Rolls-Royce Civil Safety Centre provides world-class technical support to investigate and resolve known and potential safety issues for the in-service fleet. **What you will be doing:** * Management of known and potential safety issues (SAR & RT) and appropriate involvement in safety boards as defined in Safety Management Plan. * Provide technical support to help resolve safety-related technical queries and operational arisings. * Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions. * Provide technical surveillance and quality assurance audits to support continuous product enhancement for customer satisfaction and business expectation. * Develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communications (used by OEM, build/commissioning/maintenance bases and customers) including acceptance limit development. * Prepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentation and/or reports) to platform provider, regulators, customers, internal stakeholder. * Ensure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal & external stakeholders. * Gather in-service data and carry out continuous improvement by identifying Best Practice and Learning from Experience activities, feeding back into future programmes and product design teams. **Position qualifications:** * Engineering or Numerical degree preferred or equivalent with experience. **Preferred requirements:** * Knowledge of components/ systems functionality and numerical methods. * Experience of working on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous. * Familiarity of the in-s
