Conducts patent/prior art searches, utilizing databases of the U.
Patent and Trademark Office and other electronic databases., Researches prior art in scientific journals, websites, and other publications., Performs market research using secondary sources of market information and analyzes results., Reviews business and technical literature in fields/applications identified by the licensing personnel and provides summary briefings on relevant/leading edge developments., Compiles industry information associated with technology fields of relevance, including identifying companies and associated contacts., Prepares focused market/business reports on various topics and innovations., Participates with licensing personnel in internal forums (i.
, departmental, college, and member institutions), external forums, committees, and meetings., Other duties as assigned.
