What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN), Current appropriate State licensure, Successfully complete CPR Certification, Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis, Must complete the Nurses Technical Training Program, Meet Ishihara's Color Blindness test requirements
Nice to Have
One year medical-surgical nursing experience, Hemodialysis experience, ICU experience
What You'll Do.
Provide direct patient care
Perform technical aspects of dialysis procedures
Administer and monitor treatments
Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters
Document patient care information
Report significant information or changes
Assist in developing patient teaching plan
Educate patient and family
Assist with emergency operational procedures
Administer intravenous medication
Perform and document pre
Initiate basic CPR measures
Respond to emergency situations
Operate dialysis related equipment
Provide minor troubleshooting
safe and sanitary environment
Operate emergency equipment
Participate in staff meetings
Assist in patient care plan meetings
Acquire knowledge in current practice
Participate in in-service classes
Act as resource person for staff
Assist with care plan coordination
