Newport News, Virginia Warwick Forest Lifelong Health and Rehab is hiring LPNs, and are offering a**$4,000 sign-on bonus** for all part time and full time LPNs hired! **Overview** Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) monitors the resident, participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel. **What you will do** * Medications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders. * Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity. * Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed. * Participates in administering medications, treatments, monitoring and observation of resident care. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to standards of nursing practice. Demonstrates consistent follow through to promote positive resident outcomes.
