What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Qualified to practice law in the UK or an EU member state, 4+ years of relevant experience working in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, Experience advising on e-commerce, digital consumer transactions and/or subscription-based products, Well-versed in online commerce law, including consumer protection and payments regulation, Understand digital content regulations and data privacy frameworks
What You'll Do.
commercially-focused legal advice to product managers
and business partners building and scaling e-commerce products and services
Support the development of new monetisation models including subscription add-ons
and affiliate sales channels
and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with external partners
Advise on consumer-facing product features
and terms of service to ensure compliance with applicable laws
Collaborate closely with other Legal teams to deliver consistent
joined-up legal guidance across products and services
Build a understanding of Spotify’s subscriptions business
and customer support operations
Contribute to scalable legal resources such as playbooks
and training materials to support a growing business
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner closely with product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to enable innovative e-commerce experiences; Partner with cross-functional teams exploring new ways to grow Spotify’s commerce and subscriptions offerings; Collaborate closely with other Legal teams to deliver consistent, joined-up legal guidance across products and services; Build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
Communication Scope
Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to non-legal audiences
