Full Job Description

We're looking for a talented individual to join our Legal team in the Netherlands as a Legal Counsel. The department will consists of a Director of Legal and two Legal Counsellors. We're seeking a proactive and results-driven professional to help strengthen the team. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and be part of an innovative legal function, this could be the perfect opportunity. **Key objectives** To provide legal support to a wide range of departments, including in particular Leasing, Marketing, Development, Finance, Investment Management, Commercial Partnerships and Centre Management. **What you will be doing… ** * Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including: lease, development, construction, service, media-related, marketing and events-related agreements. * Advising and providing support to different business units, including Leasing, Marketing, Development, Finance, Commercial Partnerships and Centre Management. * Maintaining good reporting and status updates on workloads * Supporting and liaising on compliance and data protection compliance issues * Advising senior stakeholders on legal risks in relation to their projects and finding innovative solutions to manage and mitigate such risks. * Legal support in investment and divestment transactions. * Managing litigation with external lawyers. * Managing corporate housekeeping, * Updating and maintaining the in-house commercial contracts. * Providing legal team training to the business, as required. **What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?** * Must be fluent in Dutch and English * Experience in-house/law firm, specifically in Dutch Law * Experience in Real Estate or Leasing Law * Broad commercial experience and an enthusiasm for and willingness to understand the business of managing retail centres * Ability to work independently, manage a varied portfolio of work and ability to prioritise workloads. * Strong verbal and written communicatio
