Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver courses at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials., Experience or demonstrated ability to undertake course coordination role., Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning., Emerging track record of demonstrable scholarly and/or professional outcomes which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research in geospatial science evidenced by publications development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and/or industry links., Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government., Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry, together with a commitment to teamwork, multidisciplinary collaboration and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.

## Overview: * **********Part-time 0.6 FTE********,********Fixed Term position until******** 31/12/2026** * **Salary Academic Level B+ 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements** * **Based at the********Melbourne CBD********campus,********but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University****** **About The Position** The Lecturer (Education Focused) in Geospatial Science is responsible for delivering high-quality, industry-engaged teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate geospatial programs, with a strong focus on educational practice, curriculum development and student learning outcomes. The role contributes to teaching in areas such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related geospatial technologies, while maintaining scholarly and professional engagement within the discipline. Working collaboratively within the School of Science, the Lecturer supports course coordination, industry partnerships, and work-integrated learning initiatives, helping to prepare graduates with applied, workforce-ready geospatial skills. Desirable: The successful applicant will typically hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a PhD nearing completion, or possess significant industry experience alongside relevant postgraduate qualifications.
