The Leading Hand will supervise and support a small team of mechanical fitters and trades in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of treatment and distribution systems while delivering minor works projects as required to maintain critical community services. Key responsibilities include coordinating maintenance activities, leading high-risk works, overseeing quality assurance, and providing technical and planning support to engineers and operations teams. The Leading Hand will promote safety and continuous HSE improvement, assist with estimating and subcontractor engagement, and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
