What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Diploma from vocational/technical school, 1-2 years of tech experience, Prior radiology technologist experience, Experience with imaging and patient care equipment, ARRT, ARDMS, or ARMRT certificate, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NJ Bureau of Radiological Health license, Ability to communicate in English, Basic math skills, Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations, Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
Nice to Have
Associates degree, 2-4 years of tech experience preferred, Experience with Standard Office Equipment, Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment
What You'll Do.
Provide comprehensive care to patients
Perform imaging procedures
Maintain appropriate staffing levels
Direct daily operations of radiology functions
Interpret policies and procedures
Manage technical staff
Ensure adequate department coverage
Maintain equipment service records
Arrange for equipment service and PMs
Evaluate technical staff annually
Manage delivery of care
Ensure patient safety
Obtain and document patient history
Assess patients for risk factors
Ensure proper patient identification
Verify patient demographics in PACS
Clarify doctor's orders
Scan needed information in PACS
Complete work within acceptable time frame
Produce quality diagnostic images
Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms
Adhere to infection control standards
Prioritize and organize work assignments
Adjust priorities based on changing situations
Maintain order and cleanliness in work area
Consult and communicate with other departments
Demonstrate understanding of safety needs
Demonstrate understanding of health needs
Demonstrate understanding of moral needs
Plan for delivery of care
Demonstrate awareness of emergency equipment
Assist in treatment of emergencies
Prepare patients for procedures
Provide instructions to patients
Operate system and imaging equipment properly
