What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, 7 years of systems engineering experience, 2 years serving as an SE Lead on a program of record
Nice to Have
Master's degree preferred, Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, Experience in space, satellite, or defense programs, Experience with requirements management tools and configuration control processes, MBSE tools: Cameo Systems Modeler or equivalent, MATLAB / Simulink for analysis and trade studies, STK (Systems Tool Kit) for mission analysis
What You'll Do.
Serve as Systems Engineer Lead on assigned programs
Own technical direction from requirements definition through verification
and track technical budgets
Lead development of new mission concepts and system
Translate high-level requirements into actionable subsystem and interface
Coordinate across engineering disciplines
Drive system-level integration
Resolve cross-cutting issues
Support proposal and business development efforts
Facilitate and participate in design reviews
Participate in technical interchange meetings
Identify and mitigate programmatic and technical risks
Present findings to program leadership
Mentor junior systems engineers
Contribute to team process improvement initiatives
