Your Impact As a Lead Solar Field Service Technician (Utility-Scale / PV Repair), you’ll work on large, utility-scale solar farms—not residential or rooftop systems. You’ll handle troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of ground-mount solar systems, central/string inverters, and power plant equipment, while leading a small field crew (4+ techs). You’re responsible for making sure work is done safely, correctly, and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with real experience on utility-scale solar sites (megawatt-scale projects). This is a 100% travel position. Core Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, IR scans Lead and direct 2+ field technicians on active solar farm sites Assign work, track progress, and keep jobs on schedule Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale solar plants Inspect completed work and ensure it meets quality and safety standards Enforce safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site Diagnose system issues and resolve them in the field Complete
